The Final venue. MetLife is on a transit line: NJ Transit’s Meadowlands Rail Line runs from Secaucus Junction to the stadium gates in 10 minutes. From Manhattan, count on 35-45 minutes total. Hotels in Secaucus are the practical choice; Manhattan stays cost more but deliver the city experience. The week of the Final, every room within an hour’s commute will be charged a premium.

The newest, glassiest venue of the tournament. LAX is so close you can see incoming jets from the upper concourse. Metro’s K Line connects Crenshaw to the SoFi-adjacent station, but it’s still a 15-minute walk from gates. The smartest stays: Hilton Garden Inn LAX/El Segundo (5 minutes), or the Renaissance Marina del Rey for a beach-and-football combination.

The only stadium ever to host three FIFA World Cups (1970, 1986, 2026). The opening match on June 11, 2026 will be played here. Take Metro Line 2 to Estadio Azteca station, then walk 12 minutes. Don’t book hotels in the immediate Coyoacán-Tlalpan vicinity unless you know it — stay in Roma Norte or Condesa and ride the Metro for a 35-minute commute.
The Azteca sits at 2,240 m. Arrive 48-72 hours before kick-off. Light meals, plenty of water, no alcohol on day-one. Mexico City’s air also makes breathing harder during exertion — pace your match-day walk.
One of the smoothest match-day commutes anywhere in 2026: MARTA Red Line runs from Hartsfield-Jackson airport (ATL) directly to GWCC/CNN Center station, a five-minute walk to the stadium. The retractable petal roof is a signature; the food prices are famously cheap (an Atlanta civic point of pride). Stay near a MARTA station and you can leave any car at the airport.

The only Canadian stadium with a fully covered retractable roof — useful given Vancouver’s reliable summer rain. BC Place sits inside Downtown Vancouver, with the Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain station literally outside the gates. YVR to stadium: 25 minutes via the Canada Line for CAD $9.55. Yaletown hotels offer the shortest walk; Gastown the most character.
